Does Kleanark delete my photos permanently?
No. Deleted photos go to your phone's Recently Deleted folder (iOS) or Trash (Android), where they stay for 30 days before permanent deletion. You can always recover them within that window.

Does Kleanark upload my photos anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your device. The only time data leaves your phone is if you explicitly choose to back up to your own NAS or cloud storage account.

Why does Kleanark need photo library access?
To scan for duplicates, blurry photos, screenshots, and large files. Kleanark reads metadata and file hashes — it does not modify your photos.

How does duplicate detection work?
Kleanark computes a SHA-256 hash for each photo and groups exact matches. This is 100% accurate — only identical files are flagged as duplicates.

How does blur detection work?
Kleanark uses Laplacian variance analysis on each photo to measure sharpness. Photos below the threshold are flagged as potentially blurry for your review.

Can I back up to my NAS?
Yes. Kleanark supports SMB, NFS, WebDAV, and SFTP connections to your own server or NAS device. Your data goes directly from your phone to your hardware.
